And the waiting is near an end

Dan- hot and tropical
El Salvador and Bahia del Sol have been great hosts, but it is the season to move on from our sanctuary in the estuary.
We arrived back on the 25th of May, and did a stateside trip for biz and family then returned to the boat the end of August. Kelly’s family had some health issues and she went north to help for a couple of weeks leaving me to pound away at boat chores in readiness for our next leg.
We have had a wonderful time here and I would highly recommend the Estuario de Jaltepeque as a hurricane hole.
Several other voyagers have departed already- Gratitouille with Darren and Jody, Jalisco with Morgan and Petra and Pallaran with CB and Tawn, all over a period of 3-4 days. It is our turn now; we leave in a fleet with Cris and Jai on Gitana along with Andy and Megan on Waiarua.
At 0830 local tomorrow we head for the notorious bar, guided by a pilot boat, should be fun! At least if your fun involves throwing your boat off of 1.5 meter swells that hopefully don’t break over your decks!
About 2 1/2 days later we should be in Costa Rica!
The hardest thing though? Saying goodbye to all of the friends we made while here. It is really the hardest part of what we do.
