JIMKAT in Winter
01 May 2012 | Shelburne Shipyard
JIMKAT was covered with canvas for the winter to protect her from the Vermont snow. Plastic stretchwrap was not used as it would vibrate in the winter wind on the polished side rails, scratching them and probably requiring a refinish job. She's not so pretty, but she is safe.
We will leave for Vermon on May 8, with a launch date planned for May 11. The hull will have been polished and the bottom painted to ready JIMKAT for the 2012 trip to the Chesapeake Bay. We will completely restock the boat as everything had to be taken off due to winter storage in the cold elements of Vermont.
