April 24, 2016: Loreto. 15 years ago, one of our TDRPD Board members, Dennis LeBlanc, retired and moved to Loreto. He had told us if we were ever in Loreto, to look him up. So, we sailed up to Loreto and did just that. Dennis and his girlfriend Cece picked us up at the Malecon and gave us a wonderful tour of Loreto. We spent the afternoon at his beautiful Loreto home with a wonderful outdoor patio and garden and then he and Cece got in our little dinghy and we headed out to our boat. By then there were white caps and rough seas and the dinghy ride was quite wet. Both Dennis and I got soaked and it was really very tricky climbing aboard from the bucking dinghy. We again braved the dinghy ride and went to a restaurant that cooked the fresh fish Dennis caught the previous morning. The fish was cooked both in a butter garlic sauce and breaded and fried. Yes, I tried it, the breaded fish was not terrible, but I mostly stuck with pollo pechuga
We had a great time with Dennis and Cece, even though she speaks very pequena Engles and we speak very pequena Espanol!
From Loreto we headed to Coronado Islands where we are anchored as I write
