Threw in the towel!

We threw in the towel! After waiting a week in Santa Barbara for a weather window, and provisioning to go up the coast for another week, we anchored outside Santa Barbara Channel for a night with a plan to leave early in the morning. We called Commander's Weather and were told there was no weather window and there wasn't going to be one for a while. After a long night at anchor with the wind blowing 20 to 30 knots steady all frigging day and night, we decided to head back to Oxnard and put the boat somewhere safe and......head home....and back to work.....a week early! If it was blowing that much in a somewhat protected Anchorage, it must be crazy out there, and to try to round Pt. Conception was just nuts.
We got a slip at Frank Butler's new Marina that apparently just opened a week or so ago.
We rented a car and drove home.
We are checking the weather buoy's as we speak and it is really blowing all up and down the coast. We will wait for a high and try again when the seas have calmed down.
