Well the water level in Lake Okeechobee and the Waterway has suffered because of this drought. The boat was touching bottom at the slip and dropping further down every day. It was time to move her or risk not being able to get out of the slip when it's time to leave. My good friend had a dock available with plenty of depth. The only down side is that it is salt water as opposed to the fresh water at my dock. Very convenient as he is near my home and is one of my crew for the upcoming crossing to the Bahamas. Also had a chance to solve the dinghy issue with a newer 10' RIB and 10hp Honda outboard... very nice! Just got back from a test ride with Rosie and almost lost the truck into the water. The ramp was so slick with slime that the truck slipped deep into the water before it came to a stop. Had to get a tow out. That's it, will post soon.
