Left Bahia San Pedro [0730] for Dog Bay on the SE side of Tiburon (Bahia de los Perros) this morning. A long run for us at 75 miles. Arrived around 2030 and anchored at dark. One other boat there. Can’t see much in the dark so let out some good scope. We’ll see what it looks like in the am. It will be protected from the North winds.
Isla Tiburon is the largest Island in the sea in the Midriff Islands. Gorgeous white sand beach. Inflated the kayak to try is out. Works well for one. It is easy to carry up on the beach out of the tide lands. At San Carlos we had 2 foot tides that could be ignored but we are now moving into 6 foot tides as we go north. Time to start paying attention again. The bottom is sand and the Rocna sets quickly into and under the sand bottom. One other boat in the cove—Georgia B, looks like a Hallberg Rassy 46 maybe. Not much activity on board. Quiet day of reading and exploring for us.
