One Week from Land

Knock on Wood. Interesting day. Went thru about 6 mini storm, biggest was a dozen miles in radius. Wind ran up to 40 kts and our speed hit 6-9kt which is fast for us. Lots of rain. You are soaked within a minutes but dry again within the hour. We can see them coming up on the radar as yellow blotches. Yellow used to be a pleasant color, not so much anymore. If we have shortened sail before it hits, we feel very confident as the sky gets dark. If we have missed the opportunity, things get a little crazy for a while. But all and all it has been uneventful of late except moving south much faster which is very popular as we are starting to miss land. Pizza for dinner--Wendy callled it "meatless" but I think there was chicken in there, too. Home made dough and very tastey indeed. Big Red the hydrovane is doing a great job steering us and we are getting better at understanding some of her nuances.
