Recent anchorages

I wanted to give an overview of the last two anchorages.

Punta Arenas, (green beach), Vieques. It was beautiful and clear, but quite rolley, but not too terrible. There is great opportunities for snorkeling by the shore. The tropical fish are lovely and numerous. It was cloudy whe. We went so their colors were not as vibrant as it would have been with sun, but still very nice. I read online that the sand flies/fleas are vicious in the afternoon and that was no lie!! We had a valentine's day beach happy hour and everyone was attacked. The Bon fire helped, but the damage was already done before the fire was set. My entire scalp and ears and face and hands are covered with bites, but I did wear long pants and my dive booties so my legs thankfully were unbitten. I even used deet liberally, so if it seems like a good idea just don't do it! The sleeping was pleasant because it was much cooler there than the mainland of PR. It was also nice and dark since the only way to that beach is by jeep!

We are now anchored in Bahia Fajardo because we still have some packages coming. Yes, all of those provisions we had to have to get to Panama!! Hahahahahaha ho... It is very rolley here because of the ferries and if we didn't have to be here we wouldn't be. But we found out that the little Isleta Marina will let you park there and take a free ferry to the ferry dock on the mainland and enterprise will pick you up there if you need a rental car. Ask for Axel. He will also go to Roosevelt Roads to the marina there if you need a rental car and you have a military ID. Enterprise is also who you want to call if you taking the ferry from Culebra to Fajardo.
