Kathleen and I have set sail for the last time together. It is now time for us each to head in a new and very different direction. Kathleen will be pursuing her dream to be a musician somewhere west of the Mississippi and I will be moving to Reno to be close to my daughters.

I have been working on our catamaran Sprout for over a year to get her ready for very comfortable cruising, and she is now ready and for sale. I am happy that I was able to have a great cruise on her from Tampa to New Bern and Kathleen and I went on a few fun cruises in our local waters of NC. Somebody will be very lucky and happy to take her far over the horizon.

Yanmar 2GM20's with SD 20 saildrives serviced with new seals in May and running perfectly. Able to motor at 5 knots on a single engine at 2800 rpm. Average fuel consumption running both motors is about .75 gal/hr total at 6 kts. Racor diesel fuel filtration. Easily retractable or removable bow sprit with screecher on a roller furling – excellent for light wind sailing. 12 volt and 110 volt electrical system. 4 x 140 watt Kyocera solar panels and dual Blue Sky MPPT controllers. Air X wind generator with stop switch. 2 Balmar 70 amp alternators with controllers, centerfielder and starting battery controllers. Dimmable overhead lights in salon and galley, and LED lighting throughout. LED anchor/tridata and navigation lighting. Fans and lights in all cabins. Beautiful 2 drawer refrigerator. New sunbrella bimini, and 3 sail covers. 2 x 4D (400 amps) of AGM house batteries plus 2 AGM Lifeline starting batteries. Furuno radar. One electric and one manual toilet. Custom wrap-around shower curtains in each head. 2 x 15 gallon holding tanks with macerator pump-outs. Raymarine ST5000 plus hydraulic autopilot with wireless remote control, tridata and new wind instrument and transducer. 4 queen beds in private cabins. Excellent swim platforms with easy swim ladder. Heavy duty dinghy davits. Bug screens for all hatches, port lights and sliding salon doors. Mesh covers for the salon windows and all hatch covers plus heavy duty solar reflective shades for hot climate cruising. Roll down cockpit privacy/sun shades for all three sides. Fully battened, square-top main in great condition with new stack pack. All sail controls at the cockpit. Very easy boat to sail and operate single-handed. The bottom is in excellent condition without any blisters, damage or water intrusion - verified by moisture meter and infrared video camera by surveyor. This catamaran has the room of a much larger cat and is in turn-key condition. The solar and wind power generation provides more than enough energy for living away from the dock long-term.
