Rain, Rain, Go Away!

29 December 2009 | Mazatlan, MX
Meri
The sun is just now peeking out from behind the grumpy gray rain clouds. It rained hard all night and most of this morning. Being in the Sea of Cortez for a year with no rain you'd think I'd be more appreciative. Heck, no rain...no leaks. Alas, we found a small leak on the starboard aft side... luckily it is very small and can be repaired without incident... fingers crossed! Nothing compared to 'Third Day's refrigerator and watermaker bracket blues! Used the time at the marina to do other odd chores - family style: cleaned the goopy grease globs that hide in in the hard-to-reach areas of the stove (took hours!), washed clothes, clean one of the outboard engines, scrubbed the decks, cleaned windows, had the kids clean the cockpit and wash down the cockpit cushions, then had them clean the stainless... hey, Christmas is OVER!
