If I haven't said so before...I hate going through Georgia in the ICW. Carl and I avoid it at all costs because it is so shallow. However, our friends on "Just Imagine" convinced us we should since we were going to St. Mary's for Thanksgiving anyway. So... Two offshore treks brough us into georgia for a short overnight until we made cumberland island. Thats where it happened! The charts show a line (Magenta) that you can follow as a guide, and I do stress GUIDE, however it went around the wrong side of the RED marker. We followed our training and let it to Starboard which was the correct thing to do. A friend we met along the way on "Wanderer" followed the magenta line and ran aground! We made it into the river where we were to anchor and we ran aground. Not fun.
