The first stop on our honeymoon cruise. Although the winds were on the nose the whole way down, our overnight transit to this lonely outpost 30 miles west of Key West went smoothly.

On the second day at anchor near Fort Jefferson a thuderstorm BLEW through the anchorage with (we think) around 30 knots of wind, testing our anchoring and maneuvering skills as well as those around us. Ours held quite well and Carrie motored us well to keep out of other boats path. Another boat even dragged across our chain as theirs did not hold quite so well, but we still stayed put, although Carl got soaked on deck in the process.

The rest of our stay was uneventful (snorkleing was OK and the fort was interesting) and we moved on to Key West.
