We recently had very enjoyable day with a good cruising friend. Our friend Ben who lives in Marathon took us to see some of his favorite spots on the reef for snorkeling while he did some fishing for our dinner. We were very disappointed to see the reef dying. All the beautiful colors normally seen on any living reef seem to be absent in the Keys. We only hope it will one day come back so that others may enjoy it as it should be. In the meantime, Ben speared a Grouper and some Hogfish and we cooked them up for that night's dinner.
