We're now in North Carolina!
Our book on anchorages along the ICW has provided us yet again with a little nugget we wouldn't have otherwise found. This little bay has been dredged out by the Government to support operations at Camp LeJeune Marine Base in North Carolina. Our book noted it as a popular anchorage along the way but we had the whole place to ourselves for our one night stay.
There's not much in the way of natural scenery or facilities, but we were treated to a spectacular air show by a Marine Corps Sea Stallion helicopter and the new V-22 "Osprey� vertical takeoff and landing plane, both doing touch and go's on a landing pad near the bay.
