Coming back to Solomons

Today we passed into Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay! One more day's travel to Annapolis!
Quite a different story today as far as weather goes on the Bay. It was glassy calm this morning with no winds at all, a far cry from 24 hours earlier. A hot day all the way with little or no wind until just before sunset when we entered the Patuxent River and the harbor at Solomons Island where we anchored for the night.
Interesting to return to this place where my father was stationed in the early 60's (a long time ago!). I don't even remember the harbor but it probably didn't look the same anyway. Still I had to call a sibling to tell them we'd arrived.
We may stay here a day or so to pick up some supplies at the local West Marine store and groceries.
One more day's travel will get us to our destination, Annapolis MD. We're all smiles about having hung in there with all that's happened and making it this far. But we're in the cruising mode and enjoying the new place we've found along the way.
