We've been in Solomons for a week now and although we replaced the starter (and it turns out the throttle cable) yesterday we still didn't head out to Annapolis this morning like we originally planned.
We've been watching the forecasts regarding TS Ernesto and how it's affect on the local weather might necessitate a change in plans for us. This Friday's forecasts call for 25 mph winds and friends in the anchorage here tell us that the holding in Annapolis is much poorer than where we're at now.
We decided just this noon to head out tomorrow (Thursday) morning and go for a mooring ball in the harbor for the weekend so we don't have to leave the boat (and the cats) here and drive up.
Stay tuned. BTW, the picture is of Carrie and her new friend, an otter at the local Maritime Museum.
