Another weekend on the hook

17 September 2007 | Annapolis, MD
Carl
This past weekend we ventured out once again, south to Annapolis to enjoy my company's annual summer party. We took the opportunity to sail down instead of driving, anchoring out overnight along the way and took a mooring ball for the night in one of the greatest nautical towns in the country. We had a great time sailing in company with our friends Tim and Katherine on his Hunter sailboat "Desdemona" and meeting up with my KeyLogic friends in Annapolis for crabs and lots of other great food. We had some challenging seas and strong winds along the way, and got a chance to test out the boat and crew in the elements again.

Spike had a tough go of it this time and if he could have mutinied I believe he would have. Burying his head under a pillow seems to make him feel better in that regard.

One thing we found is that we need work stowing our gear for sea; everything that could go on the deck did go on the deck. But overall we had another great time and can't wait until the end of the month when we cast off the lines and the jobs for our new adventures in the Caribbean. Stay tuned!!
