We finally entered the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) this morning and found it slow going to say the least. Although we missed the reported logjam of boats heading south (not intentionally) there were several other boaters on the same schedule as Sanctuary, both power and sail. Due to a passenger vessel running aground to the south of us the waterway and several bridges were closed for most of the day by the Coast Guard, so we didn't make it very far, only about 15 miles. Luckily there was a free dock at the Great Bridge bridge (no stutter there) and we had a secure place to tie up for the night. It COLD up here and we have to get south to some warmer temperatures, so we keep movin' on.
