A note of thanks to our friends Mark and Mary and Officer Pryor of the Miami Beach Marine Patrol. As I worked hard to get Carrie safely back aboard Sanctuary with a miminum of stress to her after surgery, I found the Marine Patrol offering their vessel to transport her from the dock to our boat.

It seems our fellow cruisers Mark and Mary on Renaissance had been keeping Officer Pryor informed of our situation, and as I was hoisting anchor to take Sanctuary to the dock for her, the Marine Patrol vessel approached me and asked if they might make the transport for us. They made the transport both easy and very comfortable for Carrie, who is now aboard and resting.

Imagine recovering from surgery on board a sailboat at anchor in Florida Bay with the breeze blowing and the sun shining as you look out over the aquamarine blue waters. Not bad...
