Cocoa is just on the banks of the Indian River. You can see that it is very old Florida as soon as you take a walk down Historic Cocoa Village. It has a lot of quant, locally owned shops, a theater, and restaurants.

It is also where we are currently anchored. I've been making some phone calls to various West Marine stores along the coast in hopes of picking up a few days work to replenish the cruising kitty. I hit pay dirt in a new West Marine Store on Merritt Island, right across the river from where we are. It looks like we will stay here until it gets warm enough to make the trip to Annapolis
