Renewing old friendships

I'm very excited about meeting up with an old friend!

Donna and I went to school together from 1st grade through high school. After leaving North Fort Myers High, (Fort Myers Floria) we each went our own ways into adulthood. We kept in touch a few times over the years and then time took its toll and we lost track until I received a phone call one day from her beautiful Daughter. She was calling to invite me to Lake City Florida where Donna and her husband now live. You see it was Donna's birthday and they were throwing a surprise party. I accepted the invitation and found myself having a great time with old friends. We promised to stay in touch and in fact did meet up a few times that year with those we were closest to...Debbie, Glenda, Mickie and Pam. But, once again our lives took us in different directions.

Next week, as Carl and I resume our trek up the coast to Annapolis, we plan to stop off near Jacksonville where Donna and her husband will make a hour and a half drive to the Intracoastal Waterway to meet up with us.

It's funny, Thinking about this meeting and seeing Donna again makes me feel like I'm sixteen once more, and that ain't bad!
