Weather Window is on the Horizon
11 January 2013 | Sunny Isles Beach, FL
Still windy, but...
The extended forecast today is showing an improving wind pattern. Several weather forecast programs that we monitor are all showing a decrease in the winds next Tuesday and/or Wednesday. With that information, we are now making final arrangements to leave Sunny Isles Beach sometime Tuesday, January 15th. Based on updated weather info we will decide whether to go directly to Nassau, stop on the Bahama Banks or wait in Biscayne Bay for an early Wednesday direct shot to Nassau. The time of day that the winds shift will dictate our schedule.

We plan to update this blog as often as possible. However, as in year's past, access to the internet will be the determining factor on how often we are able to update. We will be writing up our adventures every couple of days, but will not be able to send the update until we get internet access.
This year we hope to get to the Eluthera chain of islands in the Bahamas. They are located east and north of the the Exumas. Since this is new territory for us, we cannot predict internet availability. The SPOT link above will provide information on our actual whereabouts in case we do not have internet access.
