December 2nd, 2009 Big Majors Spot, Exumas
After breakfast we emptied the "garage" and dug out the Windbugger. After some minor repairs to the vane we got it hoisted up in the forward rigging. It seems to be working but it is making more noise than it has in the past. Our monitor showed that it was generating 3 to 8 amps in 15 knots of wind, so for the time we will continue to let it run.
Chris from "Mr. Mac" stopped over to introduce himself while I was working and we made plans to get together on the beach this afternoon.
Kathy worked on stainless and I boiled the crab that we still had in our freezer and then spent an hour picking the meat out of the little buggers. Then I mixed up some cream cheese, mayo, and an egg to add to the mixture. After grating some parmesan on the top I popped it into the oven for about 30 minutes.
We took it to shore at 3 for a small get together and the dip was a hit. Along with Mr. Mac there was a couple from Australia. He was a truck driver and has not sailed before, intending to learn as they go. What he doesn't know about his boat and sailing could scare the rest of us out of the water.
On our way back we stopped a "Fine Lion" for a glass of wine and some continued conversation.
We watched an episode of "House" before hitting the sack.
