After coffee and some reading, Kathy started cleaning for the second straight day. The floors were vacuumed first and then scrubbed. Dishes washed, bathroom cleaned, oven polished. I did a little polishing of stainless and straightening up in the cockpit, but mostly I read.
A little after noon David and Peg fom "Journey" sailed by and anchored to our north. After a tuna fish sandwich, I ran over for a short visit. They left Annapolis late and had a cold trip down the east coast.
At 2:00 or so we made the trip into Staniel Cay and beached the dinghy at Isles General for the walk to the airport. We sat down in the in the wall-less airport just as Dave Debbie's plane landed.
Dave and I took luggage back to the boat as Kathy and Debbie took a tour of the town and then walked to the Yacht Club. When we returned we had a beer and then ran back to the boat, hauled up the anchor and were off for Black Point.
We had a great sail south on a beam reach making 7 knots with no sea state.

April 1st, 2010 Black Point to Big Majors Spot
After coffee we decided to head back north to Big Majors to be in position to collect Dave and Deb on Friday. As we were hauling the dinghy up I found the line running through the blocks to be twisted so badly that it was almost impossible to get the thing up. We lowered the dinghy and I unstrung both blocks on the port side and attempted to remove the twist. After about an hour it was back together and working much more freely.
After weighing anchor we got our sails up and had a pleasant sail back to Big Majors.
Kathy made toasted cheese sandwiches for lunch and then started cleaning. I took the dinghy into the grocery and picked up some supplies although the shelves were mostly bare.
Most of my afternoon was spent cooking. I baked a loaf of bread and some rolls as well as beef and noodles which will make a couple of meals.
We read in the cockpit until dark, had dinner and then watched an episode of NCIS.

March 31th, 2010 Big Majors to Black Point, Exumas
After coffee this morning Barry came over with a load of books and to say good-bye again. We won't see them until next fall. They are moving north today with "Blue Bay" and will leave their boat in Ft. Pierce before flying back to BC.
We weighed anchor shortly after and sailed down to Black Point to do some laundry before Davey and Debbie arrive on Friday. Kathy wants Ida to cut her hair as well.
The wind was light but we had a great sail at between 4 and 6 knots on a perfect Bahamian morning.
After getting the anchor down, we had some black beans and rice for lunch and then wasted some time before heading in with three loads of dirty cloths. Kathy got things started while I worked on some projects and made a trip to shore for 12 gallons of water to assist our water-maker.
"Kokomo" is anchored directly behind us and has invited us over for dominos this evening... It should be interesting, Roland and Leda are always fun.
