June 29th... West River
Davey and Debbie got away shortly after 8am. We had a great time with them and wish that they could have stayed longer.
A little later, with coffee in hand, we dinghied over to "Madcap" to wish them well on their travels home to Nova Scotia. We may see them at the boat show but it will likely be a year.
Nancy called to ask if they could drive up to pick up her glasses that she had left on board yesterday and we ended up going out to lunch with them before picking up some groceries and cleaner to wash the hull ... again.
The thunderstorms that were forecast never materialized and we spent the remainder of the day reading and later grilling a steak for dinner.

June 30th... West River to Annapolis...MD
We motored out of the West River and found a slight breeze on the Bay so rolled out the sails for a slow trip up to Annapolis. There were lots of mooring balls available when we arrived and so picked up on reasonably close to shore. "Adventuress" a Bayfield 40 with the same paint job as ours, was just leaving and swung by for a short gam before heading back to Rock Hall. We met Nancy in the fall and it was nice to see here again for a minute.
We spent the afternoon watching the clouds build and reading. I removed the anchors with the intent of sanding the pulpit down tomorrow and refinishing.
There were a few sprinkles in the afternoon but about 5:00 we took off in the dinghy for a tour up Spa Creek. It seems empty compared to all the boats there during the boat show in October.
After dinner we watched a movie. As sat through a good thunderstorm before we could get any sleep. It was nice to be on a mooring and not have to set the anchor drag alarm.
Missing good company
