Savarna

Savarna of New Zealand

Who: Keith & Pam Goodall
Port: Auckland, New Zealand

Atuona, Hiva Ora, French Polynesia

09 May 2015
We are now anchored inside the breakwater with stern anchor deployed also with 26 other yachts. When we arrived Thursday night (pitch black, before moon up) we anchored outside the breakwater with a catamaran from Melbourne and found it was rougher than at sea!

The settlement of Atuona is small but well presented and tidy with the anchorage about a 10 minute taxi ride from "town." We have wondered around, moved onto francs (from USD) and found the people here very friendly indeed.

The photo's below are self explanatory. Enjoy!

Cheers
Keith, Pam and crew.
