Our last Goodbye to Grenada....St George
23 December 2010 | St George
Rain, Humid and more Rain
The reunion is sweet! St George is special - very special - and I will miss it dearly!
I had time to take in all the lovely architecture so typical to St George, the people and their dialect (Yeha Man!), the music (yes!! I bought myself a Reggae Xmas CD and a Grenada Old School Soca for the captain !!) and certainly the food!
Once again - we stayed at Port Louis! What a great facility! The services are professional and friendly and very reasonable! The broadband is fast and available 24/7 for free!!! Water for free and garbage pickups every morning! Just a stone throw away from the greatest restaurants...just my favourite town in Grenada!
We will be leaving tomorrow.... I did all my Xmas shopping as I was not sure what Carriacou will have in the line of shops....but the one thing I just could not get ....was eggs! ? You can get Turkeys cooked, glazed, smoked...you can get caviar and sushi but we could not get any eggs on the whole of this Island!!! " No Xmas cakes fo yu man"! ha!! Am I devastated...?...Hmmm not really!... My little oven can make big heat in small boat! So...how about a fruit salad and custard?
We will miss you Grenada! Take care and dodge the hurricanes!
Until next time....
It is bye bye Grenada ...and Hello Carriacou!
