Bitter End
We left with full sails for the north eastern side of Virgin Gorda for the North Sound... where Bitter End Yacht Club is. North Sound is a large bay protected all-round by islands and reef. A very special unique nautical village for yachties! The clear blue and turquoise waters with the picturesque settings of restaurants and hammocks amongst the palm trees was just breath taking!
With all the little restaurants - each with a better setting and view than the previous one ... made up our minds for us - we will stay 2 nights ... we have to at least have a drink at each of them!
The little bakery, shops and the many sailing and water activities available was all just too tempting ... where you rent a hunk with the surfboard to teach you the tricks ... a pity it all are sun exposed activities ... and the captain was probably glad I do not like the sun that much! HaHa.. But nothing keeps me from watching them closely!
There were a lot of seriously big yachts and pleasure motor boats tucked away in their own "Snob Hill/ Bay" ... always a feast for the eye ... we went really close-up to most of them in our dinghy... they are just amazing vessels!... I still need to meet the owners ... most of them has only got crew on them, constantly washing, buffing and shining the beasts!
(Oh .. I need to mention that Richard Branson's private Island, Necker Island was just around the corner - very exclusive to only the chosen ones!... too far for the dinghy though! We will sail past at some stage and check it out!
We left on Monday Morning early - with the plan to meet a professional photographer from Yacht Shots BVI that took amazing pictures of Scolamanzi in full sail, Main, Genoa and Genekar !! Check it out - It is under View Pictures, Yachts March 2012, and under the name Scolamanzi ... I will try and put some of the proof shots in ... we still need to make up our minds which ones we want!

The photographer was amazing to watch! Handling the dingy in open seas with one hand and taking pictures with the other hand ... and to come up with those fabulous pictures ... quite a guy!
It was such a fun event! Ben and Jonkie will still remember how tricky it can be to get the Genekar up and flying ... well ... with Johann at the wheel... I managed it all by myself! It was such a great feeling! One hell of a team effort!
