After our lovelye farewell breakfast with Jan & Rich, it was time to cast off the dock lines once more. We left about 1000 to cross the Sea of Cortez to our other home in La Paz. We had a 8 - 10 knot breeze on the beam and had a beam reach for about 9 hours! A sailor's dream.....



The seas were calm and the wind was perfect. At dusk, we furled the fore sail and prepared for the night. Running lights on and we motor sailed until sunrise. John was on the sunrise watch and he had the most incredible dolphin show! I'm not sure if I'm sad to have missed it or glad to have been left to sleep : )

We heard some weird scuffing sounds along the hull during the night passage. Kind of scuffs & skips - very odd. There were groups of sea turtles floating just under the surface of the water. The sounds of the turtles glancing off the hull were the oddest yet!
