From Rangiroa to Apataki in 26 hours or so. The winds were up at about 20 knots + and the seas were 3-5 feet INSIDE the atoll. Yikes! What to do? We made a VHF call to see if there were other vessels at anchor. S/V Irene - Tapio -came back and told us the GPS coordinates of where they were and said to come on over! The water is fine here. Then, S/V Sunrise - Bill - answered us with " We are anchored in 25 feet of water in a sandy bottom" - Yowsa! We want to be there too! We made our way to Tapio's GPS coordinates and anchored in 25 feet of water in sand..... wow....

And then it happened.... We met Isobel! She is 6 years old and has lived aboard S/V Sunrise her whole life.



She had us in stitches! We three girls hung out together and it was as if we had known each other already.



Isobel decided that I needed a new hair style.
