Wow - we are loving Apataki! Tapio & Eeva shared with us the GPS for their "secret spot" that they will retreat to when there are too many boats anchored in front of the boatyard. What's too many boats? Seems like 3 plus their own. We headed there with Sue & Pete aboard Kiapa Nui - a beautifully restored 70's catamaran.



Another beautiful day in French Polynesia!

Oh my goodness.... what a place s/v Irene and crew have brought us to.



We anchored and headed to shore.



Sue & Pete were already ashore. Sue & Eeva are catching up.



The palm fronds gave us background music as the breeze rustled through them.



The hermit crabs were out in full force. From a distance, it looked like the coral beach was alive.



Tapio & Eeva had set up their beach bbq and had smoked some marbled grouper for all of us.



Eeva gets a plate of their famous smoked fish ready for us.



We very often take time to soak up the moment - "Look where we are".





The next day, we set off for Tahiti! Hope to see Kiapa Nui somewhere, sometime again.
