Day 4 Tenerife to Barbados
22 November 2016 | Atlantic sea

So the wind came up a bit between 8 and 11pm and we sailed for a while but after that the wind died again, so it was back to the drone of the engine. Not very conducive to sleep! By the morning the wind increased again and we have had a great sail all day. We are back to sailing wing on wing with the jib poled out. The sea remains fairly flat so we have been making good speed. We had a bit of rain this afternoon but it soon disappeared, but the clouds look a little ominous ahead and there are thunderstorms forecast so let's hope we have a quiet night. So all is well on Silver Lining - a lazy day with not much happening. Not a boat to be seen or any form of sea life out here. Currently we have 15 knots of wind and are sailing at about 6.5 knots. We managed 123nm over the last 24 hours.
