Day 16 Tenerife to Barbados
05 December 2016 | Atlantic Ocean

An uneventful night and day with no dramas. There was a stern light behind us most of the night but we could not pick up anything on radar or AIS, so not sure what or who that was. We have been sailing well today but the swells are slowly increasing. Gives us something to look at, as we have not seen any form of wildlife today. We have had a little bit of sun so we took the opportunity to have sea water bucket showers with a quick rinse of freshwater afterwards. Baked some bread for lunch, made coleslaw with the last bit of cabbage. We have no apples left, only one tomato, a few carrots, onions, potatoes and three oranges. Water is running low too and it is difficult to make water because we don't have enough oomph in the batteries to use the watermaker, and we can't run the engine too long to charge the batteries because we are low on diesel too. Bit of a catch 2 situation. So we continue to conserve and may have to limit showers further until we get to Barbados.
