Day 9 Galápagos to Marquesas
18 May 2017 | Pacific Ocean

Wow we went so fast we made our fastest time ever - 182nm! By the morning the sea had calmed down - less like a washing machine and more like a gentle rollercoaster with a few jerks for good effect.
Neil saw a few dolphins in the distance but they showed no interest in visiting. No birds to be seen but plenty of flying fish. These are different to the ones we have seen before, with more of a bluish stripy wing/fin.
We are both in a lazy routine - reading, sleeping, eating, checking for chafe on the rig, and staring at the sea. Made some yoghurt today and tomorrow I must bake bread. We have run out of bananas and there is only half a cucumber left.
We are currently sailing at 7.5 knots with 16 knots of wind.
