Day 2 Marquesas to Tuamotos

We had a calm and uneventful night with no squalls and some good sailing. The wind during the day has been lighter and at one stage we even resorted to the engine but after an hour the wind picked up again and we could sail. Neil has had his head in that locker again today working hard to keep the watermaker going. It works for a while then stops so very frustrating. We had some Chinese chatter on the radio this morning. There must be some fishing boat around although we have seen none. Both of us have broken a tooth. Neil chipped his just before we left the Marquesas and a bit of one of my molars chipped off this morning when I brushed my teeth. So Neil switched roles from Watermaker mechanic to Dentist Neil. We hauled our emergency dental kit out and Neil pasted cement on both my tooth and his. Feels much better now as all the sharp bits are covered, but we will both have to see the dentist when we get to Tahiti. Thai green fish curry for dinner tonight, and only two nights to go!
