Suwarrow here we come!

A week of strong gusty winds and big swell kept us here at Bora Bora. Not that we are complaining - a nice lazy time to be had with lots of reading including Tom Neale's autobiography 'An island to oneself' - the story of a New Zealand who lived alone on Suwarrow island for a total of 16 years. We are off to Suwarrow tomorrow as well as many other yachts, and although Tom Neale is long gone, there are two rangers who look after Suwarrow, which is now a National Park of the Cook Islands. So - the weather looks good, the swell has eased, and we are topped up with diesel, water, wine, beer and food. The trip should take us 5 nights and we leave tomorrow at about 11am once we have had our passports stamped. Goodbye French Polynesia! We have enjoyed the banquettes, pate, cheese and wine, and have loved the beautiful islands, clear water and happy friendly Polynesian people!
