Day 2 Vuda to Opua
11 November 2013 | South Pacific Ocean
Gillian
We left yesterday ahead of schedule and found ourselves in 1 - 2 m lumpy seas outside the pass, with 20 to 28 knot winds. A bit of a shock to the system adjusting to a rocking rollin boat and poor Jo spend most of the afternoon and night struggling with sea sickness. This morning she looks better and is sleeping well. Rob has managed the watches well and it has been great for Neil and I to have a little more sleep than usual. None of us are really eating yet but conditions are supposed to improve and I am sure we all will then too. Have made good progress averaging 6 knots. On the whole the boat is managing the seaway well and we feel quite safe in these conditions.
