We are here! After another 24 hours motorsailing we have entered New Zealand waters early this morning. And what a show it put on for us! We saw masses of birds and balls of fish, also 2 large sunfish, little penguins and many many dolphins. Unbelievable amount of sea life and with calm calm seas, it looked really magical.
We tied up at the Q dock at 11.45 am but are still not cleared. Biosecurity have been and removed our rubbish and fresh fruit and veg, but we are still waiting for customs and immigration officials.
In the meantime we have hung out all the wet gear that got soaked in the front lockers (all from the first couple of days of stronger winds and wind on the nose). Methinks the damage to the pulpit may also have caused a problem.
But no matter we are here and soon as we are cleared we will be heading to those showers and having a meal at the cruising club to celebrate!
