Today we finally got the name on our boat and doesn't she look marvellous! Every time I walk past I catch my breath when I see the name - suddenly feels even more ours.

We moved onto the boat two weeks ago and boy has it been cold! Somehow when you are living in a warm cosy flat you don't really notice the winter, but living on the boat makes you so much more aware of the weather and it feels damn cold!

But we are coping, diesel heater is not working but we are managing with a small fan heater, and plenty of layers.

We feel happy on board. Finally the chance to get all sorts organised, and have the sailmaker, boat builder, electronic radio worker etc, crawling all over, helping us get the boat ready. We have bought flexible solar panels and are fitting them on the top of the Bimini. 300 watts altogether so it should cover all our needs while cruising, and when offshore we will use our Watt & Sea hydrogenerator.

Still lots to do and prepare, including making sure everything in the boat will be tied down and secure when sailing.
