Time to move her
Monty / Blowing like hell and raining

Well, my friend who has been hosting the Witch for the summer has told me that he needs me to move her. Seems his relatives that are part owners in the property want her moved, as I am not doing anything with her. I've been out all summer trucking trying to make ends meet, hoping to scrimp together enouph to do the bottom and get her in shape to take south this fall.
I did get to go sailing this year once, at the Fern Ridge Reservoir just west of Eugene Oregon. The owner of the rental company is a great guy (Scott Coleman), who has several sailboats for rent. I rented a 27' boat to get the hang of a larger boat, and my girlfriend and I had a nice afternoon sail till the wind blew us in. Fern ridge gets drained in the winter, but in the summer its a fun place to go.
Email me if you want Scott's number to rent a boat. I guess he does boat transporting and has a small chandlery also.
Anyway, the Witch has a new home, she just hasn't flown there yet. If I try to take her with it blowing like it is now, she WILL fly there. Some nice local cranberry growers have let me park her and my storage trailer on their places, (one till the wind stops for the winter) and the other will be where I refit her. More and some pics later.
Congrats to the folks doing the Baja Haha...wish I was there (Again). I'm following the blogs jelously....

Hi everyone, just a quick note. I bought the Witch of Endor a few years ago, and am just starting to work on her now. She's been sitting in the water for a few years, so her condition has declined from when I bought her, and she wasn't exactly in the best shape then.
She was originally built in the early 60's by 50's TV and Movie star Hank (Henry) McCune and is vaguely related to the Victory 21 line of boats.
Her former owner bought her new and sailed her regularly in Southern Cal and then moved her by truck up to Crescent City California where she was sailer up to her new home in Brookings, Oregon.
Her owner took exellent care of her up until he passed away in the late 90's and then she was sold to a businessman from Cave Junction Oregon, who took care of her until his business forced his attention away...and he began looking for a good home for her.
I haven't had the money to work on her up until now, and even now its stretched a bit thin, but I'll be chronicling her rejuvination in this web blog.
Last July we pulled her, after building a new trailer from a commercial fishing boat trailer, and have moved her up for the winter to Langlois, Oregon. I'm now looking for a shop or barn to begin the work.
