Glouchester Point
12 May 2012
May 3, 2012 Some of the things we have learned on our sail up the east coast of OZ; watch for a well established high pressure center in the bight of Australia (off Adelaide)-- it will produce reinforced SE trade winds. Also, lows can and do develop quickly off the Queensland coast bringing rain and even more wind (squash zone). And third--watch the tides. There can be tremendous tidal changes up the coast causing currents and eddies--and anchoring difficulties. The photo is us tucked away behind Glouchester cape after a fun and wild day.
