We motorsailed to Moorea and anchored off a white sand beach public park in a coral garden. We watched as our anchor settled onto the sand twenty feet below--crystal clear water. We found Moorea to be one of our favorite islands. We rented scooters and drove around the whole island, and had dinner at the Bali Hai hotel with a Tahitian dance show afterwards. We also hiked up to Belvedere, a great viewpoint above both Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay. But our favorite activity was feeding the stingrays and black tipped reef sharks on a sand bar (4 feet of water). The sunsets were awesome from our anchor spot. Moorea is the island of Poynesian dreams................
