THE ADVENTURES OF S/V SERENITY AND HER CREW
Ile des Pins--New Caledonia
10/04/2011

10/3/2011 Some thoughts on how cruising has changed our lives. When we were back home, busy with our family and careers, time seemed to fly by. I would be amazed how fast the week zoomed past--then the month, then the year was gone. Since we have been cruising, time goes by much slower--each day is differnt and has a new adventure. We enjoy and appreciate nature so much more now, and we are in awe of the beauty of our world. We walk alot more--no cars--and we really appreciate fresh produce and fruit when we can get them. The places we have visited during our two year adventure have been varied and awesome--by the way, we consider Ile des Pins as the best island we have visited so far. But, we think it is the people--both cruisers and locals--that have made our trip the amazing adventure it has been. One day we will return to our Californian home--but we will never be the same. The world is an amazingly diverse and beautiful place--we all are truely blessed.
