...And many bottle brush plants which seem brighter red than those in our country.

We also saw these pretty purple flowers.

We were fortunate to travel the roads out west in spring time (yeah, November is spring out here). We saw many desert plants, but this grey bush was the most remarkable. When we saw it in dense swaths it was stunning.

We took the windy western coastal route on our way back to Perth. It was mostly a two lane lonely road with gusty wind and some awesome views. On the road there were signs warning of the wildlife-- Kangaroos, Emus, and echidnas get hit at dusk and dawn on this road. Pretty cool sign, eh?

Lisa (Alicia's mom), Alicia, Serena, Sherry, and Gordon at a viewpoint overlooking the Indian Ocean. We were again blessed with great weather.

We went with Louie, Alicia, Serena, and Nana Lisa to an animal rescue park. We saw Kangaroos (pictured), Wallabies, Emus, Dingos, etc. This is a Roo that we got to hand feed and pet. The Roos have sharp nails on their paws and they can get aggressive when you have food for them--the food was purchased from the park.
