We were so fortunate to have our friends Gloria and Micheal on S/V Paikea Mist join us at Tipperary Waters Marina. We first met GnM in Mexico at the start of our life's adventure--and we hope to keep our friendship going for a long, long time.

The cruising community in Darwin is really a great bunch of people. We help each other and share useful information. This is a pic of Sherry helping to transport the fore stay extrusion from Sea Eagle II to the rigger's shop--we all pitch in.

July 27, 2012 Well, after over a month in Darwin we are ready to shove off. We have enjoyed our time in Darwin and our almost six months in Australia. But, our lockers are full of food, the boat is washed, and all systems are go for launch tomorrow. We will 'lock out' of Tipperary Waters Marina at 8:30 am and start our three day passage to Kupang in Western Timor. We are excited and look forward to many adventures in Indonesia. We also have thought of our time in Australia and we have tried to condense six months into a few thoughts. We both agree that our lasting memory of Australia will be of how friendly the Aussies have been to us. Everywhere we have gone, from Perth in the West to Sydney in the East, and from Darwin in the North to Tasmania in the South--we have heard a friendly "..How ya goin?". The Aussies have welcomed us and made us feel at home. We will miss Australia and the Aussies--and that is the fair dinkum truth. The photo is of the walk from our marina home into Darwin-- we have walked that path many times.
