Major Attractions: Kagoshima City is now the largest city in southern Kyusyu with a population of 600,000. An abundance of hot springs can be found within the city. Mt.Sakurajima towers over Kinko Bay and billows smoke high into the sky. The fact it stands only four kilometers away from the city is indeed rare.

Water: Water is available on the other side of the bay at the yellow house with the Kanji lettering.
Fuel: Mini tanker can be arranged through Mobil - 0993342999
LPG: Available, however, non Japanese tanks are difficult to refill due to Government safety regulations. Ocassionally, some gas resellers will fill your tank, especially if it is a small family owned establishment.
Marine Vendors: Unknown.
ATMs: As always the most efficient way to get money from your overseas account in Japan is through the Post Office system of ATMs. Nearest known Post Office is located at Junicho.
Shops & Markets: There is a small supermarket near the pontoon area. There is a hardware store, a large supermarket,and an internet café at Ibuzuki
Postal Services: Nearest known Post Office is located at Junicho.
Hotels & Restaurants: There are several hotels and ryokans in Ibusuki City at prices to suit all pockets.
Internet/Phones: See "All about the Internet in Japan" on this Blog. International coin and card 'phones are available in the station. An internet café Tol Tom is on the right hand side of the station as you exit.
Laundry Services: Coin operated laundry is available at the Ibusuki Phoenix Hotel, 4320 Juni-cho, Ibusuki-shi
Air/Sea/Road Transport: The area is served by rail, ferries and an international airport giving access to local and overseas destinations. The Kagoshima Kotsu bus service operates to the JR Ibusuki Makurazaki Station.
Special Notes: Location is only 30mins train ride from Kagoshima.
