OUR NEW BLOG!

18 June 2010 | off the boat for the summer
Linda
After a great and adventurous cruisingwinter in the Sea of Cortez that included the Baja and the mainland in Mexico, we are off the boat for the summer months and then some. We returend from our Sea of Cortez adventure May 10th and spent a month getting the Sierra Vista home back in order after the winter housesitters. The dog, fish and tortoise are all fine! Bill did some needed yard work, Linda did some indoor sorting and cleaning. Plus had some guests visit- Barb and Randy from Texas, Fran and Jean-Guy from Vancouver(and s/v Gosling) and had a few friends over, as well. Felt good to be back in my comfy bed, a real galley without dumpster diving, a long, hot shower and the pets. Linda made a brief visit to Phoenix to see daughter Cristy who took her out for a birthday dinner. Bill and Linda also had a birthday celebration together in Tucson with a dinner at Anthony's and an overnight stay. I'm not saying just how old we are, but we had significant birthdays this year!!!

Now back in San Carlos, we have hauled Tanque de Tiburon out and she is getting her bottom repainted. We are staying with Tom and Joan and enjoying a relaxing visit to San Carlos. Red came with us and he got his teeth cleaned and six extractions and feels great - at a great price! Vets in Mexico are pretty reasonable. Also, I am shopping with Joan, scary. Not many boat chores we can do when the boat sits up on stilts and paint being sprayed around. We hope to have her back in her Marina Real slip early next week. Besides, San carlos is getting really HOT!

More adventures to follow, off and on the boat. July holds July 4th celebration in Sierra Vista with Marty and the kids visit, Dallas and Linda's Take Shape for Life conference and a visit with Vicky and the grankids, August perhaps a rest at home, September San Diego and later September into Octobber, Nova Scotia. The winter sailboat adventure will begin again after Thanksgiving, when we are in hopes of having a Family Reunion. Linda & Bill
