The first indication I had that they were here, was the 50+ sandals & sneakers lying at the front door. The meals today were very successful, except that I am suffering from grocery shopping OD and blisters from excessive chopping & slicing following orders from "The Queen".

The rest of the athletes have arrived! We did our first meal for 30. A success, I think. No pictures today, we're too busy, stay tuned. A great bunch of kids, the parents should be very proud of them all, they were so appreciative of our efforts. We did spagetti with meat sauce, ceasar salad and garlic bread. We were very entertained watching the clean-up after dinner!

Arrived at the camp yesterday mid morning. After settling in to our accomodations (we opted for one of the trailers on the property instead of the main house), we went grocery shopping (twice). First meal was for only 7 people - 2 coaches, 3 paddlers and us. Bill barbequed steaks and I did roast potatoes, mushrooms, onions and a salad. The rest of the athletes were to arrive today at noon but due to bad weather in Halifax only 4 arrived, the rest will arrive tomorrow. Tonights dinner will be Almond Chicken, Rice and Strawberry Avacado Salad. The good part is I get to work into this gradually - cooking for only 10 tonight - 30 tomorrow. Wish us luck!
