La Cruz Marina

22 January 2011 | La Cruz
Connie
We arrived in La Cruz Marina about 9:00 a.m. Jan.21, after a 2 day trip from Cabo, went to the fuel dock for fuel, then found our slip. We also had to buy 2 big bags of ice to keep the food cold because our refrigeration quit working. Both the battery run system and the engine run systems were not working. Just great!! And just after we had bought fresh meat and food at the Costco in Cabo. We used our ice maker to make ice to put in the refrigerator, but it makes a small amount, so we were just barely keeping the food cold. We were glad to get here and get more ice before the food spoiled. We were fortunate to have a refrigeration man recommended to us by other cruisers here. We called him and he was busy until Tues., but had a small refrigerator that he could loan us. He said he was going to Philo's Bar that night and could get it to us if we met him there after 7:00. So, in spite of being tired and sleep deprived, we went to Philo's. They have good food and it's popular with the Americans. Philo has a band and they played great music and people were dancing and the place was rocking! We never met up with Don but had a great evening anyway. Today he came by our boat and he is going to fix our refrigeration. This is all for now, got to go to a Happy Hour for the cruisers.
