We are back in the good ole USA. We arrived 04/19/2009 on Gary's 53rd birthday. The sail over from the Bahamas was wonderful and uneventful. We have been able to go to land and restock our pantry for our upcoming trip to South Carolina. Yesterday we visited a local foot Doctor to have my broken foot checked. After several x-rays and pulling and tugging on the toe above the fracture he finally got everything aligned. He re-casted and Gary went to the local medical supply center where he rented a little scooter type thing. I now get to truck around with 1 knee on the scooter and the other leg pushing me around. The crutches were getting very tiresome as I am not permitted to put any weight what so ever on my broken foot. Golf is going to have to wait till June for me and the bitches, boohoo. I did get to use one of those motorized shopping carts at the grocery store and I didn't run anything or anyone over. This break does have its advantages though. For instance, Gary in bailing out the port side toilet so that he can take it apart to change the broken pump. That would have been my job if I could walk, so I'm enjoying sitting and updating the blog while I listen to him swear. We will get together with Cal and Marty this evening, they will be bringing there dog, Talula. There is talk of George fathering her 1st litter and George is hoping he passes the 1st date test. He is all bathed and on his best behavior. Don and Shari Smith visited onboard last night for cocktails and dinner. I am happy to announce that not a single sole fell in the water. We have also enjoyed a few dinners out with Gary's Dad and Arlene. We will report again as soon as we finish our next leg north. We set sail in the morning.

how could BU score twice in the last minute? Coach, You deserved the Cup. You won it in my book. Way to go everyone. Next year for sure. And the announcer, what an ass. SKINS rock. I may go out and skate tonite just to let out the frustrations of watching the heart braking loss. It's just that the closest ice right now is the cube in my rum Bilge Blaster. Hey Mik, sorry for not posting sooner. Next year we fish with the boys in the Ragged Islands. And coach, you looked so tall on nationalal TV...did they shrink the rink? Roo

Ok, two blog postings in one shot. Well?. We made in to Pete's Pub, almost. Took the dogs for a game of ball on the beach. George decided to play "you can't catch me". Lisa snuck up from behind, kinda lunged and totally smashed her foot into a rock. Hitched 25 miles into the big city, Marsh Harbor, for x-rays. Yup, broken foot, needs a cast. Doctor says leave it on for 6 weeks, no weight for 3?pretty hard on a boat. She's scooting around with a croc knee pad. I am now the official 'bow bunny" Left Pete's for a night in Hope Town and are currently anchored off Guana Cay. It's Saturday, a big sports day. The Masters is on now and tonite at 7 is the big event. Miami of Ohio is playing Boston College for the NCAA hockey Championship in Washington. GO SKINS! Wow. The hockey program there has just gotten better every year since I last skated for them back in 1978. And to all my ole team mates. GO SKINS. Later
